Indian Wells, California – Madison Keys – all she does is win.
The 2025 Australian Open continues to shine on the sport’s biggest stages, and continues to run the table on the WTA Tour.
She notched her career-best 15th consecutive win on Wednesday at Indian Wells, battling past 19th-seeded Donna Vekic 4-6, 7-6(7), 6-3, to book her spot in the quarterfinals. She will face Switzerland’s Belinca Bencic in the last eight on Thursday.
“Keys, who turned 30 last month, has become the fifth woman over 30 in the Open Era to post a 15-match winning streak at WTA level, joining a lofty list that includesBillie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova and Serena Williams.
Keys cracked 46 winners as she pushed past Vekic in two hours and 18 minutes.
“I think Donna played really well at the beginning,” she said. “I felt like I wasn't executing quite how I wanted to. Was really happy that I was able to kind of flip the script a little bit in the second set and kind of play a pretty solid third set.”
Her third-set magic continues, as she improved to 10-0 in deciding sets this year. She is the only American to reach the quarterfinals.
