That’s Wild
The Minnesota Wild won a game last night as they shutout the Seattle Kraken by a score of 4-0. On the way to that win Marco Rossi unfortunately blocked a shot with the inside of his knee and did not return. Add his name to the long list of currently injured Wild players. Obviously at the top of that list is Kirill Kaprizov, who has not played a game since Jan. 26, and that was after a month-long break and a brief three-game return.
Unfortunately, it still does not look good. The Wild have 13 games left of the regular season and are comfy in a playoff position, but there is reportedly no distinct timeline for Kaprizov’s return.
According to Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli, there has been no indication as to when the Wild’s best player will return to the ice.
Well, that stinks.
But, in that little clip of rapid reporting, Seravalli did mention that he believes the Wild and Kaprizov eventually get a contract extension done this summer that will keep him in St. Paul beyond next season. Kaprizov is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2026.
