According to Carlos Alcaraz, Thursday’s three hour and 24 minute victory over Jaume Munar was like playing “on the clay.”
Today’s 80-minute 7-5 6-4 victory over Arthur Rinderknech was like a return to the grass, and Alcaraz enjoyed getting on and off court in rapid fashion as he stretched his career-best winning streak to 16 victories.
“I knew that today was going to be much faster, one way or the other,” Alcaraz said after recording his tour-leading 40th win of 2025. “Just really happy to win.”
Is Alcaraz feeling invincible after reeling off so many wins?
“Not at all, but obviously the more wins I get the more confident I am going to get,” he said, after improving to 27-3 lifetime on the grass. “My confidence is really high and I’m feeling on court. Honestly I am moving great and hitting the ball really pure, hopefully that winning streak will keep going, but honestly I’m just happy with that and I’m trying to play my best and show my best in every match.”
2023 Queen’s champion Alcaraz fired eight aces and never faced a break point as he converted both break points he saw against the 80th-ranked Frenchman. He won 33 of 36 first serve points and will move on to face either Roberto Bautista Agut or Holger Rune in the semifinals.

Lehecka recorded the 100th win of his career and reached his 10th ATP semifinal, and first on grass with a 7-5 6-2 win over Jacob Fearnley. The Czech improved to 5-1 on grass with season – he has not dropped a set through wins over Alex de Minaur, Gabriel Diallo and Fearnley.
