Indian Wells, California – Madison Keys has been the queen of the three-set victory in 2025, the American winning all ten of her deciders in this her best season on tour.
On Thursday she didn’t need a decider, not even close.
Keys blitzed Belinda Bencic 6-1, 6-1 on a gusty day at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, earning her career-best 16th consecutive win to reach her first Indian Wells semifinal.
Keys cranked 30 winners and improved to 3-2 against Bencic overall. She needed just 64 minutes to end Bencic’s run and become the fourth player to reach her maiden Indian Wells semifinal after turning 30, alon with Elena Vesnina in 2017, Flavia Pennetta in 2014, and Martina Navratilova in 1990.
Keys will face either Aryna Sabalenka or Liudmila Samsonova next.
